We strongly urge you to send all files in vector art (AI, EPS, or PDF). This file provides superior reproduction quality and allows images to be re-sized without lots of sharpness or detail. Some high-quality raster formats can be used, including PNG, JPG, or PSD.
We can also provide more detailed logo and design service for an additional fee. Let us discuss your needs and specifications for your project or event. If art needs to be touched up or recreated, we have a graphic artist on staff to convert any type of artwork. If you have any questions on artwork submissions, please give us a call.

What is a vector? What is a raster?

In order for us to understand what vector image is, we also need to explain raster image, which is the other type of images that logos are often in.

Raster Images

The use of colored pixels to form a complete image. JPEGs, GIFs, and PNGs are common raster image types. Almost all of the photos found on the web and in print catalogs are raster images. When these images are enlarged, the quality of the image will go down because the same number of pixels are used for a larger area of space. This is why an image will become pixelated, low-resolution or grainy. Raster images are not the ideal source of an image when it comes to printing logos on promotional items.

Vector Images

A more flexible image format. Vector file types such as EPS, AI, CDR, and PDF are excellent for creating graphics that frequently require resizing. Your company logo and brand graphics should be created as a vector so you can use it with smaller items such as business cards and letterheads. You can also use it on larger surfaces such as T-shirts or tote bags. You can export vector images to raster images such as JPG and PNG for websites and newsletters. The most common vector file formats are AI (Adobe Illustrator) and EPS (Encapsulated PostScript).
